Ukraine faces three possible scenarios - Poroshenko

Of all possible scenarios for implementation of the Minsk agreements the most acceptable one involves Ukrainian authorities regaining control over Donbas, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.

"There are three scenarios. The first one is a radical offensive by the Armed Forces, a military liberation of these territories and launching a campaign against Moscow. Who is proposing it here? Please, look at the consequences of these reckless and irresponsible liberations, and our people are not in favor of this position. The second position is to build a wall, surrender a part of our territory, we will live without Donbas. Is this option possible? It is. But as the president, I am not going to sell Ukraine … I will not give away a single piece of the Ukrainian land," Poroshenko said in an interview on the Channel 5 television on Sunday evening.

"I will fight and do all I can to return both the annexed Crimea, and the occupied part of Donbas. And there is the third path: to make sure that Ukraine restores its power and sovereignty in this territory. This path is called the Minsk agreements," the president said.
