A criminal inquiry into the plane crash at Moscow Vnukovo airport that killed French oil and gas concern Total CEO Christophe de Margerie has come to an end, Russian Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin has told Interfax.

"The Russian Investigative Committee department on most serious cases has completed its inquiry into a criminal case of the crash of a French jet Falcon-50EX at Vnukovo airport on March 20, 2014, in which three crewmembers and their passenger – oil and gas company Total CEO Christophe de Margerie – died," Markin said.
