Ukraine published list of 14 artists who pose threat to national security

The list of artists who pose a threat to Ukraine's national security includes singers Oleg Gazmanov, Iosif Kobzon and Grigory Leps; actors Sergey Bezrukov, Mikhail Boyarsky and Ivan Okhobystin; French actor Gerard Depardieu, who holds Russian citizenship, and seven other people.

The list of artists who pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine was published by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.

The list also includes Vladimir Kucherenko, Yegor Kholmogorov, Mikhail Khazin, Valeriya Perfilova, Iosif Prigozhin, Nikolay Rastorguyev, and Mikhail Porechenkov.

According to the report, under the Ukrainian legislation, the Ukrainian State Film Agency will refuse to issue or terminate the issued state certificates for distribution and screening of films, in particular, if one of the participants of the film production is a person who is on the list of people who pose a threat to the national security.

The press service of the Culture Ministry said that the above list will be updated on the ministry's website upon the receipt of relevant requests from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

The list of individuals who pose a threat to national security is compiled by the Ministry of Culture based on requests from the National Security and Defense Council, the Security Service, and the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting.

On August 7, the SBU handed to the Culture Ministry the above-mentioned list of 14 persons.
