Kyiv City Council has prolonged the term of payment of 2012 domestic loan bonds worth UAH 5.4 billion for one year.

The decision was made at a Kyiv council meeting on Thursday.

Chairman of the profile budget commission of Kyiv City Council Andriy Strannikov said that in 2012 Kyiv City Council decided to issue domestic loan bonds of G Series worth UAH 3.25 billion. He said that Kyiv authorities plan to pay UAH 875 million this year thanks to the budget surplus – UAH 500 million.

He also said that the Cabinet of Ministers stated that the 2016 national budget foresees UAH 1.915 billion to pay for 2012 domestic loan bonds of Series F and H.

"Thus, we allow the government and the parliament [to pay on these bonds] in 2016," he said.
