State aviation service to consider revoking of large number of flight assignments

The commission of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine for rights to exploit air routes on July 30 plans to consider revoking a large number of flight assignments issued to Ukrainian airlines.

According to a report on the service's website, there are plans to discuss the revoking of rights of Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) to exploit air routes, taking into account a letter of the aviation service regarding the grounds to revoke these rights. This concerns Kyiv-Donetsk and Kyiv-Simeferopol flights, and 104 rights to regular international air routes.

Public joint-stock company Motor Sich's rights to fly on seven internal and two international routes could be revoked, as could Dniproavia's rights to three domestic and 10 regular international flights.

In addition, Windrose's rights to service 18 international regular flights and Atlasjet Ukraine's rights to service 15 domestic flights could be revoked.

Yanair airline could be deprived of its right to 11 air routes in Ukraine and nine international regular routes.

UM Air's rights to 23 international regular flights, Bravo's rights to three international regular flights, and UTair-Ukraine's rights to seven domestic and 35 international regular flights could be canceled under the applications of the airline.

UTair-Ukraine could lose 10 more rights to international regular flights.

However, the airlines have submitted applications to receive assignments to air routes.

On July 30, the commission will discuss the issue of 24 assignments to charter flights to Windrose, two assignments to charter flights to Dart airline, three assignments to international regular flights to Yanair, six assignments each to international regular flights to UIA and Atlasjet, 14 assignments to international regular flights to UM Air and 14 assignments to international regular flights to Bravo.
