Four Ukrainians killed in road accident in Poland – Foreign Ministry

Four citizens of Ukraine were killed in a road accident, which happened 70 kilometers from Warsaw in Poland on Thursday morning, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported.

"The Dolyna-Ivano-Frankivsk-Warsaw bus got into an accident 70 kilometers from Warsaw at 07:20 Kyiv time. Four citizens of Ukraine were killed," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry wrote on its official Twitter account.

"A consular officer has already left for the accident site," the Foreign Ministry said.

As reported, the Polska Times publication said that a bus carrying Ukrainian citizens got involved in a road accident near the village of Gorznie, Garwolin County, Masovian Voivodeship, Poland, in which four people were killed, 21 injured. "The bus, on which Ukrainians traveled, under unclear circumstances drove into the oncoming lane, slid into a ditch and crashed into a tree. Eight ambulances and two helicopters of the air ambulance service have been sent to the accident site," reads the report.

There were a total of 49 passengers in the bus, the publication said.
