Ukrainian leadership to agree technical changes to memorandum with IMF on July 21 – presidential administration

The memorandum with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be signed by the Ukrainian leadership by late evening on July 21, according to representative of the presidential administration of Ukraine in the Cabinet of Ministers Oleksandr Danyliuk.

"Nothing structural will be changed in the memorandum with the IMF, only technical amendments in the text will be made," he explained.

According to Danyliuk, the document will be signed in the following order: Minister of Finance Natalie Jaresko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk, National Bank Head Valeriya Gontareva, and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

As reported, it was initially planned that the IMF Executive Board would approve the second tranche worth $1.7 billion under the EFF program by the end of June, however the deadline was postponed until mid-July. Kyiv hopes that the meeting will be held by the end of July.
