Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has introduced the new Chief of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Hrytsak to senior SBU officials

"Ukrainian President has presented SBU Chief Vasyl Hrytsak to the service's management," reads the SBU twitter page on Friday.

As reported, on July 2, the Verkhovna Rada supported the nomination of Hrytsak and appointed him to office with 340 votes in favor.

During a meeting with law enforcement agents in Lviv on Thursday, Poroshenko said that Ukraine's support of his choice is proof of cooperation between two branches of power.
