Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that the hybrid war waged by Russia hasn't been successful so Moscow will now attempt to undermine stability in Ukraine from within.

"The hybrid format of the war will be changing in the near future. And after through joint efforts, we have considerably strengthened the national defense, power and efficiency of the armed forces of Ukraine, instead of rushing into a frontal attack, Russia will undermine the stability of Ukraine from within," Poroshenko said at a meeting of the Regional Development Council in Kyiv on Friday.

"They will make allegations about the presence of some political foundation for creating these or some other so-called people's republics," Poroshenko said.

"But the effective and precise coordination of our actions will put an end to these vain hopes of the aggressor," the Ukrainian president said.

The central government's powers in defense, national security, foreign policy, rights and freedoms guarantees, as well as the state's territorial integrity will remain unchanged, Poroshenko said.
