Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko has urged national democratic forces to unite after the first round of the presidential elections around the candidate who takes the largest number of votes.

"No matter who wins in the first round, everybody should unite and support the candidate from the democratic forces who will win in the first round," she said during her speech in Lviv Polytechnic National University on Tuesday.

"If we are not able to strengthen our efforts and unite the whole national-patriotic and democratic camp of Ukraine... we will be much weaker than those who want revenge," she said.
