MTS Ukraine mobile communications operator has reconnected 130 communications facilities in eastern Ukraine over the past five days.

In particular, 35 facilities are now in operation in Donetsk region – in the city of Donetsk, the town of Selydove, as well as in Maryinkа and Yasynuvata districts, the company's press service has said.

Ninety-five facilities in Luhansk region – in the city of Luhansk, the town of Lysychansk, as well as in Antratsyt, Stanytsia Luhanska, Lutuhyne, Slovianoserbsk and Krasnodon districts – were also re-connected to the network.

As of 10:00 Kyiv time on Wednesday, 90% of MTS Ukraine's network in Donbas was in operation.

The main causes behind limited communications in Donetsk and Luhansk regions were blackouts and access being blocked to some facilities in the military zone for repair or refueling from alternative energy sources. In this regard, there may be communication failures in the settlements in the abovementioned areas.
