Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has met with Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili, who visited Ukraine on Sunday to commemorate the Maidan events.

Poroshenko said that the March of Dignity demonstrated the unity of the Ukrainian people and the leaders of European countries in their desire to overcome terrorism. "The March of Dignity, the same as in Paris, showed that we are not afraid," the Ukrainian president said.

According to him, Sunday's terrorist attack in Kharkiv "is an attempt to spread panic and fear."

Poroshenko thanked Margvelashvili for Georgia's support of Ukraine.

The Georgian president said that Georgians stood by Ukraine. "Not only Ukraine, but also all its friends are united in support of the values you are defending. Every Georgian stands by Ukraine today," he said.

Margvelashvili also expressed his condolences over the terrorist attack in Kharkiv.

The two presidents discussed cooperation between the two countries within the GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development, the Black Sea Partnership and the Eastern Partnership.
