Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said he is convinced that the Ukrainian administration will restore its control over the whole territory of Donbas.

"Ukraine has demonstrated that it is a peace-loving European state. Last night, our 'cyborgs' at the Donetsk airport demonstrated bravery, patriotism, heroism and they are an example of how Ukraine should be protected. We will not give away a single inch of Ukrainian land. We will regain Donbas, we will revive Ukraine in Donbas, we will show that our unity is an extremely important factor of our victory," Poroshenko said on Maidan after a prayer for the people killed in eastern Ukraine.

Poroshenko said he believes citizens of Ukraine are now united in the light of the current events and "Ukraine is now more united than ever."
