CEC registers two more candidates for Ukraine's president
The Central Election Commission has registered self-nominee Vasyl Protyvsikh, whose surname translates as "Against-everyone," and Socialist Party Leader Oleksandr Moroz as a candidates for president of Ukraine.
Nine members of the commission voted to register Vasyl Ptotyvsikh as a presidential candidate. Five abstained.
Protyvsikh had a different last name - Humeniuk - before October 2, 2009. Born in 1946, Protyvsikh heads the Ivano-Frankivsk Chamber of Commerce.
Thus the number of registered candidates for presidency has reached 16.
Progressive Socialist Party Leader Natalia Vitrenko submitted documents to be registered as a candidate for Ukraine's presidency on Friday.
In addition, today the congress of the People's Democratic Party nominated Liudmyla Suprun for the post.
November 6 is the deadline for the nomination of candidates for president.
