Children's nurse killed, another woman seriously injured in Stanytsia Luhanska – Moskal

A 58-year-old children's nurse was killed and another woman lost an arm as a result of shelling in Stanytsia Luhanska, according to a report posted on the website of Luhansk region administration head Hennadiy Moskal.

"In the course of fighting on Kalinin Street, the roof of High School No. 1, where pensions were being distributed at that moment, was damaged by machine-gun rounds. Fortunately, no one was killed or injured," Moskal's press service said on Thursday.

The area in Luhansk region controlled by the Ukrainian government has been shelled by Luhansk People's Republic militants with artillery weapons, mortars, Grad multiple-launch rocket systems and small arms 35 times over the past 24 hours, the press service said.

The localities of Popasna, Krymske, Triokhizbenka, Chornukhyne, Zolote, Artema, Olkhove and Pshenychne were damaged as a result of shelling.

Shells damaged a gas pipeline in the town of Schastia, leaving Schastia itself and several villages of the Stanytsia Luhanska district without gas supplies, the press center said.
