City Council: One civilian killed, three wounded in Donbas in past 24 hours

One civilian was killed and another three suffered injuries in Donetsk in the past 24 hours. Last night was tense, says a report posted on the City Council's website.

"The hostilities killed one civilian and another three suffered injuries of varying degrees in Donetsk on October 29," the report runs.

A shell damaged a metalwork shop at 13 Novorossiyskaya Street.

The city was not quiet in the small hours of October 30, as the sound of gunfire and explosions was sporadically heard in the Kirovsky and Kyivsky districts.

All is quiet in Donetsk now. There have been no incident reports from city districts recently.

The Ukrainian army said militants fired on their positions with mortars, artillery and Grad rocket launchers in a number of populated localities last night.

The press center of the army operation in Donbas said the enemy had violated the ceasefire regime more than 40 times over the past day. "There were two combat engagements in the area of Petrovske and Krymske. A number of Ukrainian servicemen were injured. The number of the wounded and the nature of their injuries are being verified," says a report the press center posted on Facebook.

The press center also reported shelling in Novomykhailivka, Tonenke, Debaltseve, Zolote and Maloorlivka.

There was no gunfire in the areas of Mariupol and Donetsk Airport last night, the report said.
