Six parties enter Ukrainian parliament with 85% of votes counted

Six parties enter the Ukrainian parliament with 85.13% of votes counted in last Sunday's early elections for the Verkhovna Rada, according to the Web site of the Central Election Commission.
The People's Front Party still holds the lead with 22.04% of the vote, being slightly ahead of the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko, which collected 21.68% of the vote. Samopomich Union garnered 10.93% of the vote, the Opposition Bloc - 9.47%, the Radical Party - 7.47% and Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Union - 5.7%.
The other parties that participated in the elections do not overcome the 5% electoral threshold needed to win parliamentary seats. However, Svoboda All-Ukrainian Union has come very close to the electoral threshold with 4.68% of the vote.
The Communist Party of Ukraine collected 3.9% of the vote, Sergiy Tigipko's Strong Ukraine - 3.18%, Anatoliy Hrytsenko's Civil Position - 3.09%, Zastup All-Ukrainian Agrarian Union - 2.74%, and the Right Sector Party - 1.81%. All other parties took less than 1% of the vote each.
