Poroshenko inspects second fortification line in eastern Ukraine, visits polling station in Kramatorsk

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Sunday visited polling station No. 141027 located in Interregional higher professional construction college (Kramatorsk, Donetsk region), according to a posting on the Web site of Donetsk Regional Administration.

The head of state studied the organization of voting. He did not cast his vote at the polling station.

The presidential press service reported that Poroshenko arrived to Kramatorsk by helicopter and earlier he inspected the second fortification line. He promised to talk to soldiers of the military unit in Kramatorsk.

"I've come here to protect the electoral rights of military servicemen," he said.

The president also said that the polling stations in Kramatorsk, Dzerzhynsk and Sloviansk have been opened and authorities are making everything to provide safety of people during the parliamentary election on October 26.

The press service said that over 10,000 military servicemen will be able to exercise their right and vote on Sunday.
