Ukraine is planning to seek compensation through international courts from Russia for losses from the destruction of infrastructure in the country's eastern regions, Ukrainian Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko has said.

"Today, the premier gave a respective instruction to the Justice Ministry and the economic sector's agencies. The issue concerns new facts that we now record in the east of the country... All these facts are being gathered and the damage caused to our infrastructure facilities in the east of the country will be calculated, and we will demand compensation for these losses from Russia, as an aggressor state that is waging war in Ukraine," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.
