Ukrainian president promises support in sector development to engineers

The state would support the Mykolaiv-based Zorya-Mashproekt plant to jointly work over new markets and consider the issue of value added tax (VAT) return to strengthen financial-economic conditions of the plant, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said, visiting the plant on Thursday, the press service of the head of state has reported.

The press service said that Zorya-Mashproekt and other Ukrainian mechanic engineering enterprises would have enough work. Efforts of the government will be aimed at this purpose.

The head of state examined production facilities and production organization of the enterprise which is considered one of the leaders of global gas turbine construction. Poroshenko expressed gratitude to the enterprise's staff for their work in difficult conditions.

The president expressed confidence that peace would certainly come to Ukraine, because Ukrainians demonstrated extraordinary unity and the government made efforts to strengthen the economy for the army to receive support.

"We will not let anyone call into question the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state. Our state doesn't threaten anyone. It is peaceful and doesn't want to make war," the president said.
