Ukraine leadership expects no humanitarian convoys - Chaly

Ukraine does not expect the shipment of any humanitarian convoys from Russia, however, Russia, in addition to the EU, the United States and Germany, may join the provision of international humanitarian assistance to the residents of Luhansk, Deputy Head of Ukraine's Presidential Administration Valeriy Chaly has said.

"We expect no 'humanitarian convoys.' The issue concerns the Ukrainian president's initiative on international humanitarian aid for the people of Luhansk, involving the EU, the United States, Germany and other partners. Russia may join," he wrote on his Facebook page on Monday evening.

Chaly said that all such actions should be conducted "in accordance with international norms, laws of Ukraine, through our border crossing points, and under the auspices of the International Committee of the Red Cross."
