Ukrainian military deny loss of plane in Donetsk region

The press center for the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine has denied the reports published on Wednesday morning stating that a Ukrainian military plane had been shot down over the town of Khartsyzsk, Donetsk region.

"All our planes that are flying on combat missions are intact. The information on the downed plane has not been confirmed," Vladyslav Selezniov, the head of the group for reporting on the anti-terrorist operation, told Interfax-Ukraine.

Andriy Lysenko, a representative of the information center of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, has denied the information on the downing of a plane over Khartsyzsk.

"All planes were on their combat missions as of 1000. None of them was shot down," Lysenko told Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday morning.

Earlier media reports, which cited eyewitnesses, said the militants had shot down a Ukrainian military plane over Khartsyzsk. The reports said several parachutists could be seen in the air.
