Poroshenko: Russia should be interested in association between Ukraine, EU

1 min read

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said the association agreement between Ukraine and the European Union does not pose any threats to third countries and commodity producers may even benefit from it.

"This agreement does not pose any threats to any countries. We now have enough convincing arguments for that. And we are interested in open dialogue with all interested parties," Poroshenko told a press conference in Brussels on Friday.

Poroshenko also said Russia should be interested in this agreement "because Ukraine can be a bridge enabling Russia commodities to enter European markets."
