Court returns land in Mezhyhirya to state, says PGO in Kyiv region

The economic court in Kyiv region has satisfied the claims of the regional Prosecutor General's Office against Vyshgorod district administration on the cancellation of resolutions and declaring invalid state acts and reclaims of land transferred to Tantalit LLC and Renaissance of Ukraine charity fund on which the Mezhyhirya residence is located in favor of the state, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office in Kyiv region has reported.

The press service said that in general, 135 hectares of land on which the Mezhyhirya residence is located has been returned to state ownership via court.

"It was established that the above-mentioned land worth over UAH 118 million were sold by resolutions of the Vyshgorod district administration, although the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has competence to sell and lease recreation land," the Prosecutor General's Office said.

The press service said that the economic court agreed with the arguments of the Prosecutor General's Office in Kyiv region and decided to uphold the claims and return the Mezhyhirya residence to state ownership.
