Verkhovna Rada Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov has said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have shut down the Ukrainian-Russian border.

"The Defense Ministry informs that our Armed Forces have reached the village of Izvaryne (Luhansk region) and thus actually completed the operation to shut down the border," he said, while opening a parliament meeting on Friday.
