Ukrainian president orders Donetsk administration to be temporarily moved to Mariupol

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has ordered Donetsk regional state administration head Serhiy Taruta to temporary move the administration's office to Mariupol.

"Thanks to heroism exhibited by Ukrainian servicemen in Mariupol, the situation in that city has stabilized. So, I think it will be expedient to move the Donetsk regional state administration there," the presidential website quoted Poroshenko as saying.

The head of the regional state administration and his staff should start to fulfill their duties in the new place already on Friday, the president underscored.
