Acting Ukrainian President Turchynov repeals 82 presidential decrees signed by Kuchma, Yuschenko, Yanukovych

Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Chairman and interim President Oleksandr Turchynov has repealed 82 presidential decrees signed by former Ukrainian presidents and put into effect a National Security and Defense Council resolution on repealing 59 of its previous resolutions.

The official presidential Web site reports that Turchynov signed decree No. 504/2014 titled 'On National Security and Defense Council resolution dated April 28, 2014 'On repealing some National Security and Defense Council resolutions' and putting an end to some decrees by the president of Ukraine' on June 6.

The Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, which gathered on April 28, considered results of the implementation of its earlier resolutions and decided to repeal 59 of them put into effect by presidential decrees. Forty-six of these resolutions are listed on the acting president's Web site and are dated 2006-2011. The council also repealed 13 classified resolutions.

The National Security and Defense Council also advised the president to repeal 82 presidential decrees, 63 of which are listed and are dated 2002-2011 and the other 19 mentioned as classified.
