Fifteen presidential candidates in Ukraine have already agreed to partake in the first independent project "National Debates" at First National TV Channel.

As the press service of National Television Company of Ukraine (NTCU) reported, none of the 23 registered candidates gave a categorical refusal. They have one day left to decide.

Yulia Tymoshenko, Olha Bohomolets, Vadym Rabinovych, Renat Kuzmin, Oleh Liashko, Natalia Korolevska and Petro Poroshenko have already confirmed their participation in the television debates.

All participants of the presidential race have already received invitation letters.

Among those who haven't given a final answer are Sergiy Tigipko, Mykhailo Dobkin, Oleh Tiahnybok, Anatoliy Hrytsenko, Yuriy Boiko, Petro Symonenko, Oleh Tsariov and Dmytro Yarosh.

The "National Debates" project was initiated by First National TV Channel, Internews Ukraine and Hromadske TV to give an opportunity to the voters to estimate each of the presidential candidates of Ukraine personally.

The candidates over an hour-and-a-half will answer the questions from the audience: professors, students, public activists and journalists.

NTCU Director General Zurab Alasaniya will moderate the national debates.

The debates will be broadcast on UT-1 channel on Saturday and Sunday at prime time.
