The United States has said it hopes that acting Ukrainian authorities start to implement measures to de-escalate tensions and restore security for all citizens that have been agreed at Geneva meeting, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said.

"Over the next few days, over the course of this weekend and the earliest part of next week, some of these steps [of the Ukrainian government] have to be seen and be evident," he said as the Geneva meeting came to an end.
