Turchynov replaces chief of SBU anti-terrorist center

Interim Ukrainian President and Verkhovna Rada Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov has appointed Vasyl Krutov as chief of the Anti-Terrorist Center at the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and SBU first deputy chief.

Respective decrees of April 14 have been posted on the Web site of the acting head of state.

In addition, under other decrees, Turchynov dismissed Vitaliy Tsyhanok as chief of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center and SBU first deputy chief.

Under another decree, Tsyhanok was appointed SBU deputy chief.

Turchynov also changed the composition of the interdepartmental coordinating commission of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center. According to an order released by the press service of the acting president on Monday, he included Krutov in the commission, removing Tsyhanok from its composition.

Tsyhanok was appointed SBU first deputy head on March 1 and started performing the duties of the head of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center on April 7, according to the decrees of the interim president.
