Ukraine is beginning to return its warships from Crimea back into its Navy, Acting Defense Minister Mykhailo Koval said.

"The Pryluky ship is withdrawing today - it is moving on its own, and we'll pull two more supply vessels into Mykolaiv," Koval said at a briefing on Friday.

The ships Slavutych, Ternopil, Cherkasy and Chernihiv are getting ready to move under their own power, he said. The submarine Zaporizhia is already with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In all, there were 70 Ukrainian Navy ships in Crimea, including 21 warships and 49 support vessels. Several ships will be scrapped in Crimea.

As for other armaments, a Kamov Ka-29 and a Mikoyan MiG-29 aircraft were removed by a special trailer on April 10. "We have agreed that one plane will fly out, and two will be dismantled and removed," the acting minister said.
