CEC registers two more presidential candidates - Kuibida and Shkiriak
The Central Election Commission of Ukraine has registered Leader of the Popular Rukh of Ukraine Vasyl Kuibida and Maidan activist Zorian Shkiriak as presidential candidates.
The Central Election Commission made this decision at its meeting on Wednesday.
Kuibida, born in 1958, is a professor at the Public Administration and Local Government Department of Lviv Regional Institute of Public Administration of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine. He was nominated for president by the Congress of the Popular Rukh of Ukraine.
Shkiriak, born in 1970, a Kyiv resident, non-partisan, is temporarily unemployed. He will run for president as a self-nominee.
As of today the CEC registered 23 candidates of 24, who submitted a full package of the documents.
The deadline for the registration of presidential candidates is April 4.
The presidential elections are scheduled for May 25.
