Pechersky District Court in Kyiv has upheld a slander claim of Leader of the Ukrainian Choice public movement Viktor Medvedchuk against writer Oksana Zabuzhko.

"On December 9, 2013, the leader of the Ukrainian Choice public movement sued Oksana Zabuzhko for disseminating misleading, offensive and outright false information: in an interview with Radio Liberty the writer accused Viktor Medvedchuk of involvement in the provocations against Euromaidan on November 30 - December 1," the public movement's Web site reported on Thursday adding that Medvedchuk demanded a token amount of UAH 0.25 as a compensation.

The report notes that the court granted the petition on January 8.
