Ukrainian officials expected to be dismissed for drafting EU-Ukraine Association Agreement poorly

Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov will soon submit to the president proposals on dismissing officials, who treated drafting the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement with negligence, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Vilkul said.

"The president gave such an order to the prime minister and Mykola Yanovych Azarov will submit such proposals soon," Vilkul said at a news conference in Kyiv on Thursday following the Council of Regions meeting.

Officials, who drafted the Association Agreement halfheartedly, should be punished, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said earlier at the meeting.

"The officials, who have not carried out any relevant discussions, have not accorded this agreement with unities or producers, who have not held relevant discussions and have failed to reach mutual understanding, should be held responsible for this. I am expecting proposals from you," Yanukovych told Azarov.
