Azarov says rumors on Ukraine's joining Customs Union profiteering

Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that statements that Ukrainian authorities plan to sign documents on Ukraine's joining the Customs Union are profiteering.

"On Monday we'll finish talks with Russia. There are many speculations around this. We're allegedly betray Ukraine and sign [the agreement on joining] the Customs Union. I strongly deny these speculations," he said at a rally of pro-presidential protesters in Kyiv on Saturday.

"In 3.5 years we've finally agreed to sign a package of agreements, which will give work to our enterprises, all enterprises, including aviation, space, engineering, metallurgy, etc," Azarov added.

He said that it is important to resume normal trade and economic relations with Russia for the country. He again said that Ukraine does not decline its goal of integrating to the EU.
