A bilateral commission will work to normalize relations between Ukraine and the European Union, as was agreed at a meeting between Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and the former Ukrainian presidents on Tuesday, first Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk said.

"This will be a bilateral commission, with the European Union on the one side and Ukraine on the other," he said.

"When issues related to trade categories are addressed, which could involve economic losses for Russia, for Ukraine, and for other parties, there will be consultations with Russia, but the commission will be bilateral," Kravchuk said.
