The Kyiv police have received a message through the 102 phone line from unidentified people that bombs have been planted at three metro stations in the center of the city – Teatralna, Khreschatyk and Maidan Nezalezhnosti.

The police told Interfax-Ukraine that bomb disposal experts, dog handlers and other services had rushed to the scene.

The stations are currently operating only as exits from the underground network, and passengers are being evacuated from the stations.

At the same time, Kyiv Metro's press service told Interfax-Ukraine: "The stations have been closed. The trains are running without stopping."
