Opposition leaders summoned to Prosecutor General's Office for questioning - Yatseniuk

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office has called in for questioning a number of people's deputies, including the leader of the Batkivschyna faction in parliament, Arseniy Yatseniuk.

"The Prosecutor General's Office has just [reported] that a number of deputies, including me, have been summoned for questioning. We will definitely come for this questioning regarding the beating up of peaceful demonstrators in Ukraine," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday.

In an interview with Interfax-Ukraine, a Prosecutor General's Office spokesman confirmed that representatives of the opposition who took part in the latest protests would be summoned to answer investigators' questions starting on December 9.
