A national resistance headquarters has been created in Ivano-Frankivsk to support protest actions in Kyiv and coordinate an indefinite strike in the city.

"An indefinite city strike begins in Ivano-Frankivsk on December 2. The national resistance headquarters will officially coordinate the protest and information activities during the strike," the press service for the headquarters reported, citing a decision made by Ivano-Frankivsk City Council during a popular assembly held on the square in front of the city administration building on Sunday.

The headquarters is headed by Vasyl Popovych, a member of Ivano-Frankovsk Regional Council.

"A city veche [popular assembly]" will be held in on the square in front of the region's administration building in Ivano-Frankisk "against dictatorship," the press service reported.

The opposition announced the creation of a national resistance headquarters during the protests against the dispersal of the Euromaidan rally in Kyiv on December 1. Similar resistance headquarters have been created in Ternopil, Cherkasy, Lviv, Donetsk, and other cities, the press service reported.
