Two people who participated in a rally in support of European integration in central Kyiv were taken to the Pechersky district police station, where administrative protocols were made against them, on Monday.

The press service for the Kyiv police said the men were aggressive and sprayed tear gas at the police. They will be released after administrative violation protocols have been made against them, the source said.

The Interior Ministry's Main Department for Kyiv said the men have not been detained.

There is information that the men are members of the nationalist party Svoboda.

The police said no protesters have sought medical assistance or made any complaints about their health.

Parliamentarian Andriy Illenko (Svoboda parliamentary faction) said police officers had broken Svoboda activist Oleksandr Svyrydovsky's arm and detained him in a clash with protesters near the Government House on Monday. The politician said Svyrydovsky has been hospitalized.

Sources in the police said protesters carrying Svoboda flags had sprayed tear gas at police officers.

The police have recently used tear gas against participants in a rally in support of European integration of Ukraine.
