The Defense Ministry of Poland is considering purchasing high precision anti-tank missiles from Ukraine as part of the implementation of a weapons modernization program.

Representatives of Ukroboronprom State Concern and Ukrspecexport State Enterprise and leader of the official delegation of the Republic of Poland - Deputy Defense Minister for Weapons and Arms Modernization Waldemar Skrzypczak - discussed bilateral military and technical cooperation during the international exhibition Defense & Security 2013, which is taking place in Bangkok on November 4-7, the press service of the Ukroboronprom told Interfax-Ukraine.

"The Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland plan to upgrade their anti-tank systems and modernize the weapons of their combat helicopters," Skrzypczak said.

"We are ready to consider the acquisition of Ukrainian-produced advanced 105mm anti-tank guided missiles which were developed by the Promin State Design Bureau. We are also interested in the joint production of high-precision weapons."
