Three views on cinema development by legendary directors presented at Molodist Film Festival

A new experimental cinema project by three legendary film directors was presented at the 43rd Molodist International Film Festival in Kyiv on Monday, Interfax-Ukraine reported.

The film-triptych called "3x3D" by France's Jean-Luc Godard, Britain's Peter Greenaway and Portugal's Edgar Pera was shown in Kyiv as part of the Molodist Film Festival. The film itself was created under the influence of the latest mainstream technologies, and shows three views on the development of cinema.

Greenaway's "Just in Time" focuses on time travel, Godard's "Three Disasters" delivers the director's reflections on the nature of cinema, and an avant-garde piece "Cinesapiens" by Pera is dedicated to the evolution of the audience.

Also on Monday, a screening of Russian director Svetlana Baskova's "For Marx!" was held in Zhovten Cinema. The film features mostly non-professional actors and tells a story of factory workers, who organize an independent trade union and fight for their rights. The film was shown as part of the Russian Film Week in Kyiv.
