Ukraine will certainly fulfill all obligations required to sign an Association Agreement with the European Union, but at the same time will maintain and develop relations with all strategic partners, MP (the Party of Regions faction) Ivan Popesku has stated.

"European integration remains the key strategic goal of Ukraine. This is stipulated, in particular, in the law on the domestic and foreign policy. And during his interview, the president gave a clear message: our country will fulfill all of its commitments necessary for signing the Association Agreement," the MP said, commenting on the interview of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych with national TV channels.

At the same time, according to the deputy, Ukraine will maintain and develop relations with all its strategic partners.

According to Popesku, the president's statement has once again shown the determination of the authorities to fulfill all the tasks Ukraine is facing before signing the agreement.

"The opposition leaders also understand that part of responsibility for signing the agreement with the EU is laid on them, because one thing is to criticize, and quite another - to carry out specific tasks," the party press service said citing the MP.

He noted that only one of the commitments Ukraine undertook to the Council of Europe in 1995 remained - to pass a law on prosecutor's activities.
