Chinese companies are interested in investing in the construction of a large orbital road around Kyiv, and in a number of bridges across the Dnipro River.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said this at a joint press conference with Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Wan Jifei on Monday, after a meeting with the Chinese delegation.

"A number of Chinese companies are ready to come to Ukraine with their own investment, and what we heard at our joint meeting is that projects on the construction of a large ring road around Kyiv and a number of bridges across the Dnipro River provoke the main interest and desire [of Chinese companies] to cooperate [with Ukraine], which could ease traffic in Kyiv," she said.

Jifei, in turn, said that on Tuesday, the Chinese delegation would meet with their Ukrainian colleagues from the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
