Yanukovych seeks legal solution to problem with Tymoshenko, says Komorowski

Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski has said that his Ukrainian counterpart Viktor Yanukovych is looking for a legal solution to the problem with jailed former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.

"I think I can say this on behalf of all of the Visegrad Group presidents. I am happy to say that Yanukovych is searching for solutions to this problem in the Ukrainian legislation and via amending the Ukrainian legislation in the parliament," he told a Wednesday press conference following a meeting of the Visegrad Group presidents in Wisla (Poland).

As reported, Ukraine is likely to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union during the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius in November 2013 of Kyiv fulfills a number of tasks outlined by the EU. The tasks include the implementation of reform in the law enforcement system, improvement of the election legislation, elimination of selective justice, and search for a solution to the problem with Tymoshenko.
