Yefremov: Party of Regions collecting signatures to hold extraordinary parliament meeting

The Party of Regions faction is collecting signatures to hold an extraordinary plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, faction leader Oleksandr Yefremov has said.

"I gave the instruction to collect the required number of signatures to hold an extraordinary plenary meeting. Once the signatures are collected, we will arrange it officially, and we will hold the meeting when we find it necessary," he said at a briefing Friday.

He said that it would be a meeting for those "who want to work on the legislation, rather than for those who are satisfied with what is happening in the session hall and disrupts this work."

Yefremov also said that Party of Regions MPs left the session hall on Friday and that they would not hold an offsite parliament meeting on this day.
