Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has made public the declaration of income for 2012, the presidential press service reported.

According to the declaration, in 2012 Yanukovych earned UAH 774,877 of wages, as well as other types of income. Also, the president received UAH 4.062 million of interest on bank deposits.

In addition, in 2012 the Novyy Svit (New World) Printing House paid UAH 15,551 to Yanukovych under the conditions of the agreement the president signed with the printing house in 2011. Of them, Yanukovych paid UAH 2.644 million as the personal income tax.

According to the declaration, the head of state owns a land plot with an area of 1.7688 hectares in Kyiv region with a house with an area of 619.6 square meters, a 239.4-square-meter apartment in Kyiv and two parking spaces with total area of 39.9 square meters.

The maintenance of the president's assets cost UAH 189,330 in 2012.

Last year, the president transferred UAH 7.432 million to children who needed emergency medical assistance.

The press service also said that Yanukovych personally paid part of the cost of the flight to Thessaloniki in the amount of UAH 66,542 during a visit to Mount Athos.

In 2012, the president also purchased a Toyota Sienna automobile worth UAH 370,000, which is owned by his wife.

"The amount of financial liabilities of the Ukrainian president in 2012, excluding the cost of the property, was UAH 7.869 million," the report reads.

At the end of 2012, the balance of Yanukovych's bank accounts was UAH 23.881 million. The president of Ukraine owns securities worth UAH 6,772.

The president's wife, Liudmyla Yanukovych, received a pension of UAH 19,219 last year and UAH 5,281 in dividends on her bank account.

She owns a plot of land of 0.93 hectares and a house with an area of 303.8 square meters in Donetsk region. She spent UAH 29,073 on the maintenance of her property in 2012.

In addition, Liudmyla Yanukovych has UAH 184,476 in bank savings.
