Ukrzaliznytsia uses over 2,000 railway workers to remove snow

Ukraine's State Rail Transport Administration Ukrzaliznytsia over the last day involved 2,087 railway workers in removing snow from railway stations, tracks and railroad switches.

As the Ukrzaliznytsia reported, 50,350 cubic meters of snow has been removed from the facilities of railway infrastructure.

Within March 27 the railway men cleared 69 station tracks and 853 railroad switches.

Moreover, eighteen snow-removal complexes CM-2 type and 12 snow ploughs were used to remove snow.

The administration also said that the heaviest snow coverage was at the stations of Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways: 48 centimeters at Kyiv-Pasazhyrsky station; 45 centimeters at Khutir Mukhailivsky station; 35 centimeters at Zhmerynka station; 20 centimeters at Korosten station; and at the stations of Lviv Railways: 50 centimeters at Sianky station; 25 centimeters both Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk; and 20 centimeters in Lviv.
