Ukraine will do its best to have a normal relationship with Russia, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Volodymyr Rybak told Zaporizhia Ferroalloy Plant workers on Thursday.

"Speaking of the contemporary economy, Russia is our market… and we will do everything in our power to have a normal relationship with our neighbor so that we can visit each other and sell our goods to Russia. This is a strategic partner," he said.

In his words, Ukraine will consider interaction with the Customs Union in certain aspects.

"We will make decisions with regard to things advantageous to Ukraine and the people; we will develop economic cooperation, in particular, between regions," the speaker said.
