Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that Ukraine will switch to daylight saving time on March 30.

"As always, we will switch to daylight saving time on March 30. There is no debate on this matter. And when this issue is raised, we will inform the people and consult with them," Azarov wrote on his Facebook page on Friday.

The premier said he believed that there no be no more discussion of the matter.

"We need to make the maximum use of daylight, and save energy," he said.

As reported, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine has drafted a bill that proposes giving up switching to daylight saving time.

If the bill is adopted, the current standard time of the second time zone will become constant on the territory of Ukraine, without future annual switching to summer daylight saving time.
